A BSF constable was killed while foiling an infiltration attempt by militants along the border in Jammu and Kashmir's Mangu Chak area of Hiranagar sector early Tuesday.

"Pakistan is our hostile neighbour and tries to push terrorists and violates ceasefire regularly".

"Suspicious movement was again noticed and the action was repeated by the alert personnel".

The constable identified as Davender Singh Baghel was hit by a bullet from across the IB and was rushed to the military hospital where he succumbed to injuries.

I am sure that they will be detected and neutralised, Sharma said.

According to a senior police official, at least five to six terrorists have managed to sneak from across the global border in Samba sector.

Sharma said the presence of a group, comprising five members, was confirmed by high sensitive thermal imaging.

Jammu: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's scheduled visit to Jammu on Saturday, five suspected Pakistani terrorists have infiltrated into Jammu and Kashmir through a tunnel, sources have told NDTV.

Sharma said that the force had prevented a Pakistan-backed infiltration bid during the firing. When they start, we give befitting reply.

A few rounds of fire were exchanged between the two sides before the infiltrators fled, Awtar said. This time it is not going to be any exception.

"We have planned to roll out the project to make the Pakistan border safer and secure and completely covered by the technology", he said.
