He continued: "Nor any mention, by Vice President Pence, of the five guilty pleas, one person sentenced, 23 defendants and 75 criminal charges in all Robert Mueller's investigation has yielded so far".

Vice President Mike Pence said it was time for Special Counsel Robert Mueller to "wrap it up" regarding his Russian Federation investigation during an interview airing Friday.

"What I think is that it's been about a year since this investigation began". Our administration has provided more than a million documents.

"Our administration has been fully cooperating with the special counsel, and we'll continue to", Pence said. I think it's time to wrap it up.

"I'd very respectfully invite the distinctive counselor and his team create their work completion". Pence says that's a "private matter" and "something I don't have any knowledge about".

Pence was asked Thursday by NBC's Andrea Mitchell if he believes the investigation is a "hoax", as Trump has repeatedly characterized it.

His comment raised a red flag for "Morning Joe" host Joe Scarborough, who mentioned the interview with Mitchell on his show on MSNBC later that morning.

"I have faith in this president's broad shoulders and big heart", the vice president said in a clip from a July 2017 speech - a phrase he used multiple times to describe his "friend" Trump.

President Donald Trump has continually called Mueller's sprawling investigation a "witch hunt" and denied any "collusion" with Russian entities regarding the 2016 campaign.
