Don Gorske has a headful of Big Mac trivia and details about his 46-year habit thanks to his OCD and a great memory.
Gorske told WFRV that he's eaten at least one Big Mac a day since then.
Gorske says he has enjoyed an average of two sandwiches almost every day since that magical day.
Gorske, who has thousands of Big Mac cartons in his home, said several people have suggested he suffers from a form of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
"You can't take Big Macs in front of the inmates", he said. Among the other Big Mac-related facts he knows is the date that McDonald's switched from lettuce leaves to shredded lettuce - February 10, 1999. That includes a 1982 day in which a snowstorm shut down the restaurant, as well as the day his mom died in 1998.
Gorske said his cholesterol and blood pressure are normal and he weighs less than he did when he ate his 25,000th Big Mac in 2011. He keeps tracks of receipts, containers, and sandwich wrappers. "At my last medical check-up I had low cholesterol and my blood pressure was flawless". He also was featured in the movie "Supersize Me".
