Giannis Antetokounmpo spills secret to Milwaukee Bucks' success

The Celtics will continue to ride the production of Brown to help lift them in what has become an intense first-round playoff series after the Bucks have knotted it at 2-2 through the first four games.

The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Boston Celtics, the San Antonio Spurs beat the Golden State Warriors, the Washington Wizards defeated the Toronto Raptors, and the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Indiana Pacers as part of NBA Playoffs 2018 on Sunday, April 22.

In the final 52.4 seconds of Sunday's game, however, the Celtics did show that they probably don't have the horses to win big in the 2017-18 playoffs.

And while it's irresponsible to give Maker all the credit - Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton combining for 50 points, including a game-winning tip-in for the Greek Freak - there does seem to be a relationship between Maker's minutes and success for Milwaukee in this series.

The Milwaukee Bucks evened up the series with their second home win over the Celtics.

After losing the first two games of the series on the road, the Milwaukee Bucks came home and destroyed the Boston Celtics 116-92 in Game 3 on Friday night.

Antetokounmpo finished with a typically busy statline of 27 points on 12-of-20 shooting to go with seven rebounds and five assists. Now - just as much as Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward - the "Jay-Team" holds the keys to the next great Boston basketball team.

With 5.1 seconds on the clock, Morris got the ball crosscourt about 15 feet from the basket from a Jayson Tatum inbound.

"The blocked shots are going to stand out because that's something somebody can see on the stat sheet", Bucks coach Joe Prunty said.

"He made a great tip-in".

Then a five point switch as Brown as swatted at in transition, resulting in a Malcolm Brogdon three completely changed things, and Marcus Morris could not hit a tough shot to tie it up.

Youth almost saved the day for the Celtics, with Jaylen Brown setting another career playoff high with 34 points, and Tatum rebounding from a three-point first half to score 18 in the second. Every single minute in the postseason is a learning experience, and for a team with as many young players as the Celtics, these type of games are invaluable. Al Horford tied the game up with a pair of free throws a few seconds later.

The other is that the Bucks hit the C's with their best punch, on their home court, and still almost blew a 20-point lead.

Mills had nine points but also played an important role in defence as Klay Thompson's hot shooting streak came to and end, scoring 12 points at just 25 per cent from the field.

Brad Stevens was so impressed by Milwaukee's Game 3 performance, Saturday he called it the best performance by a team in this series.

It wasn't as clean a win as the Bucks thought they were going to get, but it's still a win. Al Horford added 13 points and nine boards; the Celtics outrebounded the Bucks on the offensive glass 16-2.

"It comes back to trust", Antetokounmpo said of his late-game highlights.
