KKR: Chris Lynn, Robin Uthappa, Dinesh Karthik, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Nitish Rana, Piyush Chawla, Tom Curran, Sunil Narine, Vinay Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav, Javon Searles. The Royal Challengers will rely on the wily spin of Yuzvendra Chahal and Washington Sundar. While Narine and vice captain Robin Uthappa (13) associated for a 49-run stand for the second wicket, newly appointed skipper Dinesh Karthik, who was unbeaten on 35 off 29 balls, joined hands with Rana for a 55-run partnership for the fourth wicket. With Virat Kohli's aggressive statements and press conferences prior to the tournament, RCB will definitely start as the favourites against a slightly weak and injury prone Kolkata-based team. Looks a good wicket, so we will look to chase down the target.

Last year's two of the most successful spinners in global cricket- Kuldeep Yadav (KKR) and Yuzvendra Chahal (RCB) will play a major role in their respective teams.

At least Virat Kohli is fit to start the competition: The skipper and his side never really recovered from his absence at the beginning of the 2017 campaign and he will need to come close to his IPL 9 form where he took the Orange Cap with 973 runs.

Opener Brendon McCullum set it up for RCB with a sensational 27-ball 43 (6x4, 2x6) while AB de Villiers made the Eden Gardens crowd cheer for them with his scintillating 23-ball 44, which was studded with five mouth-watering sixes and one boundary.

He shuffled around the crease superbly to disturb the length of the bowlers, especially Kuldeep Yadav by hitting him for two back-to-back sixes. KKR have 2 matches in the next 3, so it's wise to load up on them. Three matches went with the side batting first and four to the chasers so there's no real indicator there as to what to do at the toss. The Caribbean cricketer didn't stop here and he also out-thought Washington Sundar who was bowling well until then.

With the fall of the two massive wickets, Rana put KKR right into the driver's seat.

Virat Kohli said he is "120 percent" committed to leading the franchise to their maiden IPL win.

KKR vs RCB Final Scorecard. De Villiers welcomed him with a huge six but the move paid off soon as he top-edged the next ball which hurried on the batsmen.

Narine was brought on in the first over after Powerplay and bowled four dot balls to Kohli, conceding just two runs.
