Xiaomi's 4K Mi TV 4 arrives in India at just Rs 39999

Both the smartphones will be available from company's official store, Flipkart and Mi Home retail Stores. It will be available in Rose Gold, Gold, Blue and Black color variants. The two smartphones have shipped all their features on the canvas, killing the suspense before their scheduled presentation in India on Wednesday, 14 February. The handset is preinstalled with MIUI 9 based Android 7.0 Nougat.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is the first smartphone to run Qualcomm's Snapdragon 636 processor under its hood. Other specs include an Amlogic 64-bit quad-core processor with Mali T-830 graphics, 2 GB of RAM, and 8 GB of onboard storage. The company is calling Redmi Note 5 Pro as "India's Camera beast".


The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 sports a dual rear camera setup, with the 12-megapixel primary sensor sporting an aperture of f/2.2 and a 1.25-micron pixel size, while the 5-megapixel secondary sensor has a f/2.0 aperture and 1.12-micron pixel size. It is driven by AI-based semantic segmentation deep learning algorithms that can accurately detect edge for capturing marvelous portrait shots. For selfies, this phone has 5MP front-facing camera with selfie LED flash and f/2.0 aperture.

After weeks of speculations around the possible Mi 6X, the smartphone has indeed turned out to be the Redmi Note 5 Pro. The Redmi Note 5 Pro has better hardware and the company claims that the camera performance of the Redmi Note 5 Pro is its highlight. However, it doesn't come out of the box. The phone however also boasts of a face unlocking feature which Xiaomi said is faster than the fingerprint sensor. It measures 158.6x75.4x8.05mm and weighs 181 grams.


The Redmi Note 5 is powered by 4,000 mAh battery that comes with 5V/2A charging support. Jumping straight to the specifications, the Redmi Note 5 features a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels, a colour contrast ratio of 1000:1 and 450-nits brightness.

The Snapdragon 625 powers the Redmi Note 5. As we mentioned, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 comes in two storage variants - 32GB and 64GB - both of which are expandable via microSD card in a hybrid dual-SIM format.
