Fisher's daughter, fellow Star Wars actress Billie Lourd, posted a heartfelt tribute to her mother on her Instagram account.

We've written plenty about the negative reaction that The Last Jedi has received from some fans - some valid, some not - with much of the ire directed at Johnson's radical choices for the franchise's beloved characters. This design is a must-have for any "Star Wars" fan, offering up another hyper-realistic figure to your collection.

Hamill now seems to have emerged from his own personal Dark Side and has apologized for his criticism of the latest "Star Wars" blockbuster, in which his Luke Skywalker character is hesitant to mix it up with the bad guys.

As Mark Hamill stated in his post, no one ever truly dies, and the fact that she feels just as relevant now as she did last year or two years back is evidence of that.

According to a 2010 interview with the Short and Sweet NYC blog, Fisher thought Lucas" script for Star Wars was "fantastic', unlike Harrison Ford, who famously once remarked to the director: "George, you can type this shit, but you can't say it".

Interested in Star Wars? "I wasn't sure what they were looking for, to be honest", he said. Now, one year after Fisher's passing, family, close friends and industry colleagues are paying tribute to the acclaimed actress, screenwriter and author. "Now, having said that, I have gotten it off my chest, and my job now is to take what you've created and do my best to realize your vision". Along with the rest of the cast, he called the film a ideal tribute to her.

Hamill and Fisher starred in the original three Star Wars films in the 1970s and 1980s, and reunited for 2015's The Force Awakens and the latest film, which is dedicated to her memory.
