Spencer, who lives in Harlem, started playing Roz on Words with Friends last summer.

The Washington Post reported that the friendship really took off when Guttman used the word p-h-a-t, hip-hop slang for excellent.

A young man traveled over 1,000 miles to meet the elderly woman he became friends with through an online game. And finally, last week, the unlikely duo got to meet in person in Florida after a pastor coordinated their meeting.

"We played [300-plus] games together, and [Roz] actually ended up becoming a good friend of mine", Tweeted Sleyon.

Sleyon and Rosalind Guttman met on Words With Friends over a year ago.

Amy Butler, a pastor at Riverside Church in Manhattan, arranged the trip for Sleyon and flew there with him. "Words With Friends" heard about the in-person meeting and tweeted, "We can't get enough of this!"

Sweet day today with Spencer and his #wordswithfriends friend, Roz, watching them bond in person for the first time. Sleyon said he aked her.
