At 2.30am WCTI12.com announced that Earl Kimrey had been taken into custody and charged for concealing a death and the obstruction of justice.

Earl Kimrey, 32, was being held Saturday on more than $1 million bond at the Onslow County Detention Center following his arrest for concealing a death, obstruction of justice and other charges, according to the Onslow County Sheriff's Office.

Earl Kimrey, 32, believed to be the boyfriend of the child's mother, was apprehended Friday, the Onslow County Sheriff's Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation announced early Saturday.

The FBI released this photo of Mariah Woods, who was reporting missing on November 27, 2017.

Kimrey is now being held at the Onslow County Detention Center under a $1,010,000 bond.

Mariah's family has been cooperating with investigators and additional charges could be filed in the case, authorities said.

"Due to evidence gathered during the course of the investigation, it is believed that Mariah is deceased".

The FBI says more than 700 people came to join in the search for a missing North Carolina child.

Officials said 730 volunteers participated in a search for Mariah on Friday. "This is my world, this is my angel", she said. She was last seen when her mother put her to bed around 11 p.m. Sunday, according to the Charlotte Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Searchers targeted a creek and a landfill in their effort to find a 3-year-old North Carolina girl missing since the start of the week. She said her boyfriend saw the child at about midnight when she got up and he told her to go back to bed.

"Allow us to review it to determine if it is of investigative value", FBI agent Stanley Meador said.

'Someone just walked right up in there, grabbed the 3-year-old out of the bed and she didn't cry, she didn't scream?

Residents were moved to action following Woods' public appeals for help in the search for her "very sweet, loving girl" with blue eyes and long brown hair. She has been missing from her home since Monday. The missing child's case has shifted to a homicide case.
