This will be Ronan's hosting debut on SNL as well as a great opportunity for her to plug her acclaimed new movie Lady Bird.

"Saturday Night Live" is closing out the year with two veteran hosts.

SZA will provide the musical entertainment for the episode, as well. U2 will be appearing for their fourth time, and their first since 2009. This visit is to promote their 14th studio album, "Songs of Experience", out December 1. And the winter finale will be emceed by Kevin Hart, who marks his third appearance, with musical guest Foo Fighters.

Saoirse Ronan is a NY native, but she grew up in Ireland, so who better to join her as musical host than U2? NBC has just rolled out the SNL holiday schedule, and we're going to get three back-to-back shows in December!

SNL has been bringing the heat so far in Season 43, which officially premiered in September, with a steady stream of hilarious guests and musical acts: from Ryan Gossling, Gal Gadot and Larry David to Jay Z, Sam Smith and Miley Cyrus. The next week, 2017's breakout star SZA will make her SNL debut in a show hosted by The Disaster Artist's James Franco.

SZA will perform on the December 10 episode.
