Shin Megami Tensei V is confirmed for the Nintendo Switch

Ten months after a Shin Megami Tensei project was revealed to be in development for Nintendo Switch, Atlas finally provided more details during a livestream. All we really know now is what we already knew before - that a SMT game was being made for the Switch.

So far it looks like Shin Megami Tensei V is only coming to the Switch, but it's possible that we may see it on other systems.

The Shin Megami Tensei series is considerably different than its spin-off, the Persona series, featuring darker plots, multiple story routes, and its demon negotiation and turn press mechanics. In the tunnels around Tokyo lie the corpses of devils that died in the city, and the trailer closes when high school students are surrounded, and presumably killed, by devils that still threaten the city's inhabitants. There is no release date or price just yet, so it's probably safe to assume that this is a long way off. It looks like we'll be heading back to modern-day Japan this time around, and demons have again invaded.

Atlus has confirmed that it'll be bringing its well-regarded turn-based demonic RPG series, Shin Megami Tensei, to the Nintendo Switch.
