Mr Trump has been involved in an escalating war of words with the North Korean regime over their nuclear ambitions, while he has also refused to certify the nuclear pact signed between Iran and six world powers, including the US.

Porn publisher Larry Flynt is offering $US10 million to anyone who provides information that leads to the impeachment of US President Donald Trump.

He lays out the offer in a full-page ad in the Sunday edition of The Washington Post.

"But most worrisome is that".

Which, when you put it like that, does sound pretty scary.

The bottom of the ad contains a charge-free telephone hotline and an email address, and Flynt told the Post in a telephone interview that he expected to receive information in just a few days.

"Did he make some financial quid pro quo with the Russians?" the ad states.

"The top of the ad, written in all caps, reads simply: "$10 million for information leading to the impeachment and removal from office of Donald J Trump".

"Impeachment would be a messy, contentious affair, but the alternative - three more years of destabilizing dysfunction - is worse", the advertisement reads. "We need to flush everything out into the open".

"I feel it is my patriotic duty, and the duty of all Americans", Flynt concludes "to dump Trump before it is too late".

In 1998 incoming House Speaker Bob Livingston resigned after Flynt received information against him, and in 2012 he offered $1 million dollars for information on Mitt Romney's unreleased tax returns.

It's not the first time Flynt, who endorsed Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton in last year's presidential race, has offered a monetary reward with the aim of taking down a politician.

"For the current crisis, I have upped the ante to $10 million".

The ad ended with Flynt saying that while he did not expect Trump's wealthy allies to turn on him, he believed that "there are many people in the know for whom $10 million is a lot of money". The Hustler magazine founder said he could not think of "something more patriotic" than getting the United States president out of office as the world is being "devastated by the most powerful moron in history".
