Prince Harry and Meghan Markle make their public debut

According to the Daily Mail, Markle credited her "closest friend in the world" with introducing her to the prince in 2016. We're two people who are really happy and in love. This time, the couple walked hand in hand and watched the games from the stand as a couple. Although the actress did join Harry at the ceremony, they were not seated together.

The Invictus Games marks the first time the couple attended a public event together.

Meghan and Harry have been pictured at the Invictus Games in Toronto together, even seen holding hands while Harry kissed his girlfriend's head.

It may not have Prince Harry and his girlfriend, Meghan Markle laughing, but the story-line for a new American comedy show sounds strangely familiar as it involves a divorced couple where the husband is left for a British prince.

Although they had been dating since 2004, it wasn't until December 2006 that Kate made her official public debut - as a guest at Prince William's graduation from the army.

Meanwhile, Markle is reportedly set to Wednesday Prince Harry as rumors of their engagement have been buzzing for months.

The couple looked totally comfortable as they held hands and whispered to each other during the match.

"Well I think it would be quite marvellous and I hope it would be quite marvellous for him and obviously it will help to bring us together", he said. As it has taken the two a year to go public with the relationship, all signs point to them being an incredibly serious item that may be heading down the alter sometimes soon.

However, new reports have rubbished those claims, saying that it was entirely Meghan's decision as she didn't want her appearance to overshadow Harry's big night, where he made a rousing opening speech.

Meghan recently told Vanity Fair they are in love.

A source told Who magazine earlier this year that when the pair started dating, Meghan was photographed smiling and "being pleasant", but that people "interpreted that as her loving the attention".
