Aamir Khan is ready to bring another fascinating tale to the big screen with Secret Superstar. And it is finally happening with the Secret Superstar. She uploads her music videos in YouTube wearing a hijab (burka) to hide her identity. Wading into the discussion, superstar Aamir Khan on Wednesday said that he is uncertain if censorship has any space in today's times. There are so many talented actors in China, so if there is a great story out there, then why not. The film, also produced by Aamir Khan, is slated for a Diwali release on October 19. He plays a music director in the movie while his Dangal daughter and national award winning actress Zaira Wasim plays an aspiring singer.
Aamir's reaction comes close on the heels of CBFC's demand of 48 cuts, including kissing scenes and cuss words, in Nawazuddin Siddiqui-starrer Babumoshai Bandookbaaz.
Interestingly, the story seems to be similar to Bill Murray's Rock The Kasbah.
"We are really happy with the songs we have got because they are exactly what we wanted in those situations".
This is the first time, Aamir has casted the same actor in two back-to-back films.
Ghajini: If you have seen Ghajini, it's hard to not draw comparisons with Christopher Nolan's 2000 film Memento. I would love to do a film, if there is a co-production treaty between India and China.
When asked about his views on the matter, Aamir said, "Honestly, I haven't seen those reality shows". Frank Capra's film too revolved around a spoiled heiress who runs away from her home.
Aamir interestingly will neither be playing the lead in the movie nor a cameo. In fact, many called it a dumbed-down version of Nolan's 2006 hit film.
