Ubisoft seems to be teasing fans with. something to do with Far Cry 3.
Since Ubisoft hasn't confirmed anything about this so far, the field is open to speculation. All the more intriguing are the captions that go alone with the images, translated from French to "an island we never truly left" on Facebook, and "does that remind of you something?" on Instagram.
Far Cry 3 was originally released back in 2012.
Far Cry 3 certainly presented arguably the best story of the Far Cry series - and definitely the most memorable villain - so returning to that universe would be very cool. There are three possibilities, as we see it.
However Ubisoft hasn't remastered any of its previous Far Cry games for current generation consoles. Let us know in the comments.
However, there are others who thinks that it might not be a port but a remake or a remaster since that seems to be what the game developers love to do right now. Primal actually reused the Far Cry 4 map and some players accused Ubisoft of just making a prehistoric reskin of Far Cry 4, also calling the game a Stone Age mod of its predecessor. It could just be a crafty social media post from Ubisoft and may not mean anything.
